Challenge
My challenge was to translate the raw, grunge aesthetic of the Opium label and its key artists—Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, and Playboi Carti into a single, cohesive poster.
Goals
Develop a dark, gritty aesthetic using heavy textures and distressed elements.
Create a chaotic yet balanced composition featuring all three artists.
Use distorted, low-fidelity typography that matches the underground vibe.
Establish a moody color palette, primarily black and white with stark accents.
Solution
I layered heavily treated photos, rough textures, and distorted typography to create a dark, collage-style poster that feels like a worn artifact, capturing the label's raw energy.
